Jones Knowles Ritchie is seeking a copywriter to join our growing creative team. Our clients span a wide range of categories, representing massive legacy brands and startups alike. In this ideation-driven role, you’ll work closely with an Art Director to develop concepts and breakthrough campaigns in both traditional and digital channels, as well as craft compelling copy for manifestos, positioning statements and campaign strategy. You’ll bring a passion for storytelling and understanding of the nuances of working with businesses at various stages of growth. You’re excited about working across a variety of categories and have the ability to adapt your style and voice with ease, as well as the opportunity to join an award winning team of creatives. Some of your responsibilities will include: •Work with copy director, strategists and designers to develop concepts and campaigns that work based on our client’s business needs and realities - across all mediums •Contribute creatively across multiple projects, adapting style and tone based on audience, channel and industry •Develop short and long form scripts, storyboards and posting copy •Present concepts, campaign and copy directly to clients engaging with them to build on-brand and breakthrough work •Multi-task on various briefs with independence often under tight deadlines •Develop and edit copy tone and style to be consistent with brand and style guidelines •Upholds and represent the highest standards for all agency work that intends to create award-winning and culturally breakthrough work •Maintain an understanding of trends, technologies, and media best practice •Works with appropriate account representative on all projects

Qualifications

•Agency background is a must •Portfolio must include all digital (mobile, web & social) marketing work •Strong conceptual marketing abilities specifically an understanding of social media platforms, trends and cultural implications •Must be conceptual/idea person as well as hands on •Minimum 5 years' experience •Solid knowledge of steps required in creative development process: provides guidance to achieve creative direction; gives timely and helpful coaching; and produces all work in a timely, cost-effective manner •Good presentation skills •Ability to solve problems using keen instincts and organizational experience •Proven mentoring, supervisory, and team-building skills
