Windett Associates is responsible for this gorgeous packaging for Fortnum & Mason’s Herb and Fruit Infusions. Each tin is decorated with beautifully illustrated flora and fauna, which stand out against the luxurious metallic finish on the actual tin. “Our brief from Fortnum & Mason was to produce an innovative design concept for a re-vitalised range of premium Herb and Fruit Infusions that would appeal to a health awarte customer who wanted an alternative to caffeine drinks.”
“Infusions were seen by Fortnum & Mason as a growing category which offered greater opportunity by renewing the range, offering more interesting blends of herbs and fruits but allow them to be all packaged in re-sealable and re-usable tins.”
“The design brief was to ensure that each concept visually represented the herb or fruit blend and emphasized the premium product aspect of the range and to reflect the quality of the ingredients. Modernity was essential in the design as was the overall product appeal.
Colourful, textured fruit and herb patterns were created for each flavour, producing a distinctive ‘rainbow’ across the range.”
“A tubular tin with an inner plug lid was developed which was both elegant and practical - the inner plug lid helping to maintain product freshness. The tall format tin was selected for greater merchandising impact.”
“Part of the brief was to ensure visibility and brightness on the shelf. Consequently the technique of printing directly onto the tin plate was incorporated which gave reflective qualities. Working closely with the tin producer ensured print detail and colour were faithfully reproduced.”
