This beer was actually inspired by space! Glasfurd & Walker created the packaging and identity for Mariner Brewing, a new brewery in Canada. The design features imagery comprised of constellations and other references to the heavens above.
“Mariner Brewing is a young brewery in Coquitlam, British Columbia in Canada. Their goal is to make full-bodied, balanced beers with an experimental edge. The name, Mariner, speaks of this explorative and innovative approach. While a nod to Mariner Way, a major road in Coquitlam where the brewery was founded, it is also inspired by NASA’s Mariner program, which launched a number of robotic probes into space during the ’60s and ’70s. The design references this space exploration through the use of constellations running across their design collateral. Glasfurd & Walker worked with Mariner Brewing on all touch points of their brand launch from packaging to merchandise, to stationery and signage.”
