Thoughtfully Considered Bitters are a Gorgeous Gift That Keeps on Giving

Published

The holidays might be over but that doesn’t mean we can’t appreciate beautifully designed gift sets! NYC design studio ThoughtMatter designed this gift set to enhance their clients seasonal cocktails. The result is a truly thoughtful and gorgeous gift that keeps on giving.

“ThoughtMatter worked with Field Apothecary in New York’s Hudson Valley to identify unexpected flavor profiles and develop a range of bitters that accompanied cocktail recipes created by NYC mixologist Lynnette Marrero. The flavors, Herbal, Floral and Curry, were made by hand in small batches using ingredients sustainably and organically grown.”

“The ThoughtMatter design team hand illustrated herbs and created a fresh color palette to give each flavor distinction. The messaging reflects the care and craft that went into both the bitters and the package itself. The final result is something that blends aspects of the studio’s branding and the design ethos of spirits and libations. Each set of bitters rests in a die cut tray inside a shallow box and is secured with a sleeve.”

“Delicate letterpress in two colors highlight the tooth and texture of the warm white Mohawk Superfine paper used for the bitters bottle labels. The outer sleeve is a combination of HP Indigo digital printing and blind letterpress on black Neenah folding board. The boxes were hand-glued and wrapped in Neenah Epic Black paper by the ThoughtMatter studio team.”
