It might be winter, but we could definitely use a few scoops of this insanely delicious gelato! Abby Ryan Design and Mike L Perry developed the packaging for Nancy Silverton’s Nancy’s Fancy Gelato, and the result is simply mouthwatering. Delightful details highlight the simple yet flavorful varieties offered while adding in just the right amount of traditional Italian flair.

“Nancy Silverton’s Nancy’s Fancy Sorbetto & Gelato is her first commercial product since introducing La Brea Bakery bread more than 25 years ago. With nods to popular desserts served at Mozza, Silverton has created a delicious Italian gelato using only the finest all-natural ingredients devoid of preservatives, artificial flavors, colors or high-fructose corn syrup.”

“‘True Italian gelato is not about an infinite variety of over-the-top, crazy flavors; it is about balance and mouth-feel, creamy, voluptuous texture and pure, honest flavor,’ Silverton reflected. We approached the redesign with those guidelines in mind by pulling ephemera and design inspiration from early 20th century Italy. All elements of the label were finely crafted to reflect the core ideals of the product itself—balanced, pure and honest.”
