MAC brings whimsy and cheer into their Holiday collection for 2016 with their MAC Nutcracker Sweet Collection.
Following a high gloss, futuristic look of 2015’s Magic of the Night Collection, MAC Cosmetics is in full gear with Holiday cheer. No doubt taking inspiration from the beginning of Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite and its setting, the bold plum and hot pink patterns of wrapping papers makes this collection stand out amongst the crowded Holiday beauty gift sets out there.
What takes this set to the next level is the subtle hints of the Nutcracker soldier himself in the little details of the packages. The designers used patterns and embroidery to elude to the soldier’s uniform as well as the gold trimming on each makeup bag, adding an interesting contrast to the flat pattern in the background.
