Despite what some may think, powerful cleaning products don’t have to be harmful—natural products can be just as good at keeping things clean without filling your home with harsh chemicals. Take Better Life, cleaning products like dish soap, floor cleaner, laundry detergent, and more that are safe and non-toxic. In order to appeal to a wider audience, Atomicdust was tasked with updating their packaging with a few particular goals in mind.

“Since its founding in 2008, Better Life's goal has been to bring safe, natural, and effective cleaning products into as many homes as possible. After a hugely successful appearance on ‘Shark Tank,’ Better Life was preparing to bring their amazing, non-toxic cleaners to more stores and more people. The brand hired St. Louis-based design and marketing firm Atomicdust to create fresh new packaging—packaging that was more consistent, easier to read and understand, and, of course, fun.”

The natural ingredients are reflected in the straightforward and modern packaging. Better Life does not shy away from bright colors which are used to distinguish each product in their line. The sans serif font is contemporary, and small illustrations on the front of the label demonstrate the versatility of each item.

“On every bottle, a clean, pristine swoosh cuts through vibrant colors to reinforce the power of the products to cut through grease, grime, and dirt. Unscented offerings come in a crisp white. Consumers can easily find the list of plant-derived cleaning agents and natural scents, as well as the harsh chemicals the brand never uses. The design revamp has created more consistency across the entire line, helping people recognize the full family of Better Life products, and how well they all work together.”
