Tixinda Studio has created a unique design that bottles Mezcal Buen Viaje’s product. This alcoholic beverage is made from the agave plant which is a source for nutrients to many animals in the desserts of Mexico. The design illustrates, the analogy between the process of producing Mezcal and the animal’s hunt of food, with a narrative metallized onto the deep matte black surface. The overall aesthetic is mystifying and gives the product a glowing effect.

“We took the Huichol graphic style and combined it with the story of a hummingbird, in the quest to find the maguey flower [agave plant]. Mezcal is made from the maguey plant.”

“The visual concept was inspired by the Huichol art and imagery. Peyote is very important in this culture, it is the center of many rituals and ceremonies, one of them is traveling to Wirkuta, a sacred place located in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, then they collect it and eat it, to live a mystic experience.”
