Dave’s Shower Shave

Texas entrepreneur Dave Nowacek tapped design firm Webb deVlam to create identity and design for his a new in-shower shave bar for men called Dave’s Shower Shave.

The agency’s 2D and 3D teams worked in tandem to develop an identity that’s unique not only in brand, but also to the product itself. The agency set about understanding men and their attitudes toward shaving, their skincare needs and how they would feel about adopting a new shaving routine that didn’t have them hovering over their bathroom sink.

“The agency helped Dave explore more unique product equities like soap formulas, scent, color, packaging, etc. The small, travel-friendly structure can let men have one shave solution that’s compact, to go with them wherever they need to shave, while also having the added benefit of being a multi-tasking time saver.”

The primary packaging design features a retro aesthetic that manipulates typical masculine symbols, like the mustache, into a clever graphics (check out that barcode) that drive home the brand’s personality and promise. The secondary packaging is easily accessible and multi-functional with a built in, fog-free, shatter-resistant mirror, and suction cup on the back, so guys can mount the mirror to any height within their shower.
