Nousuon Grass Fed Beef

Leighton Hubbell designed the branding and packaging for Nousuon, LLC.
"The logo design was an abstract, circular, geometric motif with a range of blues. It worked well in a corporate and business setting, but when they came back to me and told me they decided to branch out into selling grass fed beef, it was not going to translate.
However, to keep a thread with the parent company logo, we decided to try and incorporate the circles in a logo element, if at all possible. The final result was a very stylized and geometric Angus bull overlaying a circular background with flowing grass and a pinwheel sun. Circles from both logos work in precisely the same proportion to the other."
"Nousuon's business model was to be able to pack and ship fresh, grass fed beef upon online order within a 3-day delivery range of their Portland, Oregon meat packing partner. Because of the intended price point, the product was going to need a premium presentation upon arrival to the customer - not just dry ice and packing paper. So, a very simple and clean cold package bag design was included, as well as a nice corrugated box for larger orders, with nutrition and food safety information appearing on the back. To hold the packing slip and receipt, we elected to have printed envelopes to round out the design.
It's a unique design that is very different from other competitors in the category, yet very cost effective to produce."
